New Forum Launches to Expand Access to Biosimilar Medicines, Improve Healthcare
Biosimilars Forum (05/05/15)
The Biosimilars Forum, the first nonprofit group dedicated to increasing patients access to biosimilars in the United States, was launched on May 5 by a group of 11 pharmaceutical companies. The founding members of the group represent the companies with the most significant U.S. biosimilar development portfolios, including Actavis, Amgen, Pfizer, and Sandoz. The Biosimilars Forum says it will supply evidence-based data to help educate and advocate for public policies and practices that promote access, awareness, and adoption of biosimilar medicines.
